Neighborly SWAP

The aim of Neighborly SWAP is to bring the world just a little closer together through sharing. What better place to start than within our own neighborhoods. The first SWAP took place in 2006 within Dufferin Grove Park, Toronto with a clothing theme. We met, chatted, shared, laughed, and of course SWAPPED clothing.

TOY/Book/DVD/Halloween Costume SWAP

A place has not been found yet for this year's SWAP. Unfortunately, the Parkdale library is unable to have it.

Upcoming SWAPS

May 9th and 10th between 9 and 2. On the 9th will be the Clothing DROP-OFF. You will be given a ticket for each item to a maximum of 10 tickets. You can, however, drop off as many items as you wish. The second day (May 10th between 9 and 2) will be the clothing SWAP where you can exchange your tickets for items. Items must be in good condition. All remaining items at the end of the day on the 10th will be donated to those in need. The venue is the Dufferin Grove Rinkhouse (across from Dufferin Mall between College and Bloor).

About Me

Neighborly Clothes SWAP
This is how it works: Neighbors drop off used clothes - clean and on hangers on Saturday. Men's, Women's and Kid's clothing. Swappers are given tix in exchange (1 ticket for each piece of clothing, max. 10). On the next day, Sunday, swappers return to exchange their tix for clothing items. 1 ticket gets you one item. The clothes left at the end of the day and donations are given to those in need (ie. sistering). We believe in simplicity. Therefore, as we move forward we will always look at simple ways of impacting more and more neighbors - and one day expanding the SWAPPING to our global neighborhood. The benefits of Neighborly SWAP: Neighbors meet and greet. Doing our part for the environment - why collect more stuff when we can simply SWAP? Helping our neighbors that are in need. Swapping the value of items that are considered as low value or unwanted to high value and appreciated. Enhancing the styling of the neighborhood. No dirty cash exchanged.
